Investing in Our Future: Youth and Family Development at Broomhill Hyndland Church
At Broomhill Hyndland Church, we believe in creating a welcoming, vibrant space for all generations — especially our young people. To help us grow as a church community and support the next generation, we’ve launched a new Youth and Family Development Programme.
This initiative, developed by our Growing Young and Youth Planning Group, aims to strengthen the experience of young people already involved in our church and reach out to families across the wider community. The programme will run over an initial four-year period and includes:
- Enhancing our Junior Church with new ideas and activities
- Creating a dedicated youth space in the Upper Committee Room
- Upgrading our technology to offer interactive and engaging tools for young people
- Appointing a Youth and Family Development Worker
- Joining the national Church of Scotland Growing Young initiative
- Hosting regular events and activities for young people and families
We’re also continuing to build on our partnership with Friends of Naseby Park to connect more deeply with the local community.
This is an exciting step forward, and while we know change takes time, we’re committed to nurturing a space where young people feel seen, valued, and part of something meaningful.
We’d love for you to be part of this journey — whether through support, participation, or simply spreading the word.
